Bogota's Ministry of education was concerned about the rise of alcohol consumption between children aged 11 to 15 years old.
Our objective in this project was to develop a series of activities that would help the children of public schools to be more confident about their choices and to learn to say "no". We developed 16 activities that will be directed by the classroom teacher, each one will reinforce social abilities just as "know your self", "know the others", "confrontation" and "life project". These social abilities will show children that they can make informed decisions not only about alcohol consumption, also about other choices teenagers face such as sex, drugs and leaving school.
We proposed an internet platform connected to Bogota's ministry of education webpage so the teachers could log in with their teacher's account. In this small site teachers can find the 16 activities each one explained with colorful graphics, also they can find the activities plan, divided in 16 sessions through the school year, also they can write reviews and recommendations for other teachers.
We realized that some teachers don't have a computer at hand when making the activities, that's why we created PDF sheets with the instructions of each activity, these PDF files can be printed and used in a classroom, in the park and everywhere in the school, also these can be photocopied to be used by several teachers at the same time.
Some teachers are familiar with smartphones and use them during classes, Al tablero can be opened in every smartphone so the teacher can look at the activities every time is needed.
